Award-winning annual reports

We wrote the core content and produced written and video case studies for two award-winning annual reports for the Fair Work Commission — including one named report of the year by the Institute of Public Administration.

One of the key challenges with annual reports is delivering a consistent tone and voice across materials sourced from different people, with different writing and presentation styles.

We wrote a very different type of book for the Melbourne Metro Rail Tunnel in 2017, when we created a journal of the projects first three years in a series of stories told through the eyes of people working on the project.

Melbourne’s Metro Rail Tunnel is the state’s largest ever transport infrastructure project, costing about $11 billion. It will take nearly a decade to construct the twin 11-kilometre tunnels and five new underground stations. 

This intensive three-month embedded writing assignment included in-depth interviews with more than 35 staff to tease out the hidden, forgotten and personal stories.

The journal comprised more than 70 individual articles, with 20 videos to accompany the written materials.
